Gerry Tully Sings the Christy Moore Songbook

After years of indecision on my part I’ve decided to give the Christy Moore songbook an airing. I’ve always included some of his songs in my set because they’re good and they’re catchy, mostly however, I can replicate Christy’s style as it’s really close to my own.

Over twenty years ago I was asked if I’d consider doing a tribute Show, I declined, I was on a different path back then. At this stage, I’m happy to sing the songs that Christy has made his own or written. I’ve been a Christy Moore fan all of my life and even wrote songs in the hope he might record them. He didn’t, but no matter, he brought plenty of fun, great songs and music to many. Any gigs that happen will be a respectful homage to a pioneer in the Irish music scene.

The first gig will happen on the 14th of December 2024, in The Terry Martin Theatre in Summerhill, Co. Meath. This is a lovely intimate room with one hundred seats.
